Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern the use of online German language education services provided by Edel Online ("Platform"). By using the Platform, you agree to these terms.

1. Service Description

Edel Online is an online German language education platform offering level-based group courses from A1 to B2, private lessons, speaking club, learning coaching, and consulting services.

Our services include:

  • Live online group courses (via Google Meet)
  • Private one-on-one lessons
  • Speaking club sessions
  • Learning coaching (weekly follow-up)
  • Consulting on international processes (migration, education, career)
  • Digital learning materials
  • Placement test

2. Registration and Account

  • A valid email address and full name are required to register on the Platform
  • The user is responsible for account security; do not share your password with anyone
  • Each user may create only one account
  • Users under 18 years of age require parental or guardian consent to register
  • The user is responsible for the accuracy of their account information

3. Payment and Credit System

  • Payments are processed through the Iyzico secure payment infrastructure
  • A credit system is used; purchased credits are added to your account
  • Credits are used for lesson bookings and service purchases
  • Prices are listed in Turkish Lira (TRY) and include VAT
  • Edel Online reserves the right to change prices without prior notice

4. Right of Withdrawal / Refund

  • Refunds for unused credits may be requested within 14 days of the purchase date
  • For partially used credit packages, the remaining amount will be refunded after deducting used credits
  • No refunds are issued for completed lessons
  • Refund requests must be submitted in writing to info@edeldil.com
  • Refunds are processed within 10 business days
  • Consumers in the European Union have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days from the conclusion of the contract in accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU)

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • Student cancellation: Lessons must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance; otherwise, credits will not be refunded
  • Teacher cancellation: Credits are automatically refunded for lessons cancelled by the teacher
  • Late arrival: Arriving more than 15 minutes late after the lesson start time may result in the lesson being marked as missed
  • Group course change: Level change requests are evaluated at the end of the current term

6. User Obligations

Platform users:

  • agree to behave appropriately and respectfully during lessons
  • are not permitted to record, reproduce, or share lesson content
  • may not use other users' personal information without consent
  • may not use the Platform for unlawful purposes
  • may not share lesson links (Meet links) with third parties

7. Teacher-Student Relationship

  • Teachers provide their services as independent contractors within Edel Online
  • Making private arrangements with teachers met through the Platform outside of the Platform is prohibited
  • Teacher change requests must be submitted through the Platform
  • Feedback from lessons may be used to improve service quality

8. Intellectual Property

  • All content on the Platform (learning materials, designs, logos, texts) is the property of Edel Online
  • Content may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without the written permission of Edel Online
  • Users are responsible for any content they share on the Platform

9. Limitation of Liability

  • Edel Online does not guarantee that the Platform will operate without interruption or errors
  • Edel Online is not liable for technical failures, internet outages, or issues caused by third-party services
  • The Platform may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance and updates
  • Learning outcomes depend on individual effort; no specific success is guaranteed

10. Account Suspension and Termination

  • Your account may be suspended or closed without prior notice in the event of a violation of these terms
  • Users have the right to close their account at any time
  • The refund policy applies to unused credits upon account closure

11. Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. The courts and enforcement offices of the Republic of Turkey have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms.

Consumers in the EU are additionally entitled to EU consumer protection rights. You may also submit complaints through the EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

12. Changes

Edel Online may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
